If you have read my 2016 Goals — one of the things I included on my list is to keep a journal. I have always been fond of writing my thoughts ever since I was little. I remember having so many “Dear Diary” moments especially on high school. But for some reason I wasn’t able to find a way on making it as a habit.
Not until this year that I decided to make it happen. I was very motivated last year that I really want to start my 2016 right. And so here are my tips if you also wanted to start your own #journaljourney.
When I checked my stats today I was surprised to see that my blog just hit 6,000 views! Wow! Considering how often I post — this is really a great number for me and I couldn’t be more thankful. Read More
Oh. My. Gosh. 4 months have passed since I last posted here on my blog. And as I typed this I can’t stop smiling because I’m finally writing again. It felt so odd yet so satisfying. One thing is for sure — my heart is very happy.
I have this private playlist on my Youtube account wherein I add music from time to time if I encounter a good song along the way. Sometimes it’s a soundtrack from a movie I just watched or sometimes from the books I read or from random people online. Read More
This is a long overdue blog post but I will share it anyway.
We spent our first ever 4th of July in Delaware, where our uncle currently lives with his family. This is also our first out-of-state travel if Virginia is not included. Small trivia: For those who didn’t know, DC is not YET a state. I was confused at first because I thought it was but it turned out it wasn’t. Now we know.

Every person that probably know me will say that I am the least kikay (vain) of all the girls they know and I must agree to that because ever since I was little I hate fussing about how I look or fixing my hair on daily basis. I remember when I was in high school I don’t even own a hair brush/comb or even a lose powder on my bag. Can you imagine that? That goes the same way when I was in college. I don’t even let my hair dry before leaving the house. Sucker, I know, but I never felt conscious with how I look and I always admire girls wearing less makeup and still manage to look very pretty. I’m not saying that I hate girls when they wear makeup, it’s just not my thing. Read More
I just found out last Monday that I reached 1,000++ reads here on my blog!! Hooray! I did not expect this at all thinking that I just had 3 blog posts for this month! I do not really checked my blog statistics as much but when I saw that I just had a thousand reads I got very excited and happy. AHHHH!
I pass through this article by Lifehack today entitled “45 Questions To Get To Know Someone” that gives you some new ideas for topics to discuss when meeting someone new whether you are in a party or you just happen to meet someone and you just don’t know how to break the ice between the both of you. So I came up with a thought that I will pick 15 random questions from this list for you guys to know more about me. So here it goes.
When we first arrived here in the States, I am in the worst stage of my skin on my entire life and I’m not overreacting when I say THE WORST, because it really is. It may have been because of the change of weather or our 22-hour flight or stress and other factors that I am still not sure of. I really do have an acne-prone skin for as long as I can remember and I guess it runs in our blood since everyone on my mother’s side of the family has that type of skin. I can’t even remember when was the last time I had a clear skin. Huhu. In fact, I’m already used to it. Especially for us, girls, that experience the ‘time of the month’. It’s my first sign of period when I can see breakouts are becoming visible all over my face.
Well, I celebrated my birthday last July 20 and I just turned 22. Haha! Yes! I am totally an adult now and there’s no turning back. If I’m in the Philippines it may be a big deal since being on your 20’s there is most likely the stage of your life wherein a lot of people around you expect a lot from you and it seems like most of responsibilities is now on your shoulders since you already finished school and you are starting your career. But since I am now living here in the States I noticed that it’s the other way around. Being 22 here is a lot different. Yes, it is the same thing like being responsible and such is expected from you blah blah but it is weirdly celebrated and everyone around you is very happy for you THAT YOU ARE 22. Yes, you read it correct. It is celebrated. Well, I’m not saying that birthdays SHOULD not be celebrated because if you think that way you are definitely not getting the point of this post. I just think that they are happy that you are now LEGALLY an adult. You technically do not need your parents to go with you anywhere, you just need your passport or any ID that has your birth date and you are good to go. Plus, you are allowed to buy liquor!! Which is, by the way, the ultimate fantasy of most high school kids in America. LOL.
