My Experience With Proactiv Plus

When we first arrived here in the States, I am in the worst stage of my skin on my entire life and I’m not overreacting when I say THE WORST, because it really is. It may have been because of the change of  weather or our 22-hour flight or stress and other factors that I am still not sure of. I really do have an acne-prone skin for as long as I can remember and I guess it runs in our blood since everyone on my mother’s side of the family has that type of skin. I can’t even remember when was the last time I had a clear skin. Huhu. In fact, I’m already used to it. Especially for us, girls, that experience the ‘time of the month’. It’s my first sign of period when I can see breakouts are becoming visible all over my face.

My mom introduced me to Proactiv two or three years ago, way back when we are still living in Manila and they are working here in the States. She used to send me my own supply of Proactiv thru mail, but due to some reasons it doesn’t work for me that well (causes may be the heat and pollution because I commute going to school everyday from Bulacan to Manila and all the dirt outside clogged into my pores) and then I decided to start using different products that I can buy on drugstores. And oh boy, nothing works on my skin. I even consulted a dermatologist and go through some kind of facial every once a week but it doesn’t make any difference.

A  month ago I decided to give Proactiv another try but this time my mom told me to use it continuously and never go to bed without applying it. So when our order arrived, I am so excited to use it. We ordered the Proactiv+ 3-Step System, Green Tea Moisturizer, Cleansing Body Bar and Proactiv BB Cream. We ordered the Cleansing Body Bar because I have a number of acne on my shoulders and I just want to try if it will work as well.

AAIt instantly became my routine. I make sure I wash my face twice a day, once every morning and another one at night before going to sleep and apply it together with their toner and repairing cream. When I go outside, I apply their Green Tea Moisturizer then layered it with their BB Cream since it has SPF 15 that will protect my face from the sun. I don’t usually apply face powder or foundation so the BB Cream works fine for me.

AAAAfter my continuous use of Proactiv, I noticed that my skin became clearer and I have less breakouts even if it’s the time of the month, which is a good thing. I still have pimples and dark spots tho and it is far from a perfect skin but it’s not as bad as it was before.  My skin became less oily and even tho I sleep late most of the time, I am not having dark circles all over my eyes anymore. Hooray. I feel so confident with my skin right now and I couldn’t be any happier with these results.

For those who are not familiar with Proactiv, you can read all about them here and you can check their website for further instructions on how to use their products and they can also help you figuring out your skin type and what type of products are advisable for you to use. They have wide range of products and I am totally loving their make up line especially if you have a skin type like mine. Will surely stick with this one for a long time and I am definitely recommending it to give it a try but make sure to do some research before purchasing one.
