Oh well, as much as all of my friends know this already I would like to still talk about this here in my blog. So basically, my parents have been working in the States for the past 4 years and my brother and I left here in the Philippines to study while our uncle is taking good care of us.
Last year, my mother filed our petition papers for us to be with them and luckily we were approved and flying there this coming May. Of course, we are very much happy to be granted with that kind of privileged and also grateful that our family will be together once again.
I’ looking forward to a lot of things.
I wrote this on my planner early this year. (picture above) Sorry for the quality of the photo.
**First of all, **I cannot wait to explore new places. My brother and I have been talking about our plans for the last few months and I’m looking forward on fulfilling our goals in the future.
ago, I tweeted this:
“I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE THAT I WILL BE IN NYC THIS YEAR I HAVE 3 CITIES IN MY LIST FOR 2015 AND IM CROSSING OUT ALL OF THEM THIS EARLY AAAHHH”
Haha. Because my mom just told that we are going for a 2 day cruise on Father’s Day and we will be visiting NYC for my birthday. She is also planning to take us on Disneyland and Wizarding World of Harry Potter this August but still undecided because of their working schedule. But hey, how crazy it is to be on those places that I only see in the movies? I will be forever thankful for that.
Secondly, I’m so thrilled to build my career. Although, I still haven’t finished my Bachelor’s Degree here in the Philippines, I’m not really sad about it. I know God has better plans and I believe that everything happens for certain reasons. Maybe I’m not destined to finish my degree here and God wants me to be in better place in States. But one thing is for sure, I’m gonna make it. I promised that to myself.
Actually during the weekend, my mom and I talked over the phone and she is helping to look for universities and colleges in case I ant to transfer school. We found the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), George Washington University (GWU) and New York University (NYU). I sent them email regarding my inquiry and ask about admission when it comes to being an International Tranfer Student. Hoping that every thing goes well as I am still waiting for their reply.
And lastly, I’m excited to be with my parents and to be able to filled the long years that we haven’t seen each other. It’s time for us to have proper ‘Family Day’ every Sunday after going to mass and to experience once again simple things like eating dinner together in one table and going to church together. Ahhhh, yehey!
But you know leaving your homeland is not that easy as it may sounds. I have my boyfriend, friends and other relatives here that I will be leaving behind. I’m just lucky that I have a boyfriend that understands and did not became my burden hence he thoroughly supports me and he is just happy for me and my family. Just like my friends, they are very supportive and excited for me and although I really wish they can come with me, I just keep on telling them that we will be seeing each other again and we can make our dreams come to life soon. Just believe.
